This Can’t Be Happening With Dave Lindorff, addressing environmental and political issues which have been misreported or distorted in the media cycle.

December 18, 2014

On the day that the White House announced it is recognizing the government of Cuba with plans to reopen the US Embassy that was shut down back in October 1960, host Dave Lindorff interviews Nalda Vigezzi, co-chair of the National Network on Cuba, an umbrella organization of groups that have for decades been pushing for an end to the US policy of hostility to and subversion of the Cuban government. i Vigezzi talks about the Cuban Five -- Cuban intelligence operatives who have been jailed in the US for over 14 years for their efforts to try and stop right-wing Cubans from bombing hotels in Cuba and other acts of terror, who have now been traded for several Cuban prisoners. She also discusses socialist Cuba's future, as relations with the capitalist US begin to open up.
